CSM is providing electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural, and environmental health and safety inspection services for wastewater plants managed by the Bureau of Wastewater Treatment.

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection project managed by the Bureau of Wastewater Treatment (BWT), provides for construction management services for Job Order Contracts (JOC) and capital projects at 14 wastewater pollution plants, 95 pump stations and other satellite facilities.

The wastewater treatment plant projects are categorized by region:

  • Regional Group North: Bowery Bay, Hunts Point, Tallman Island, and Wards Island

  • Regional Group South: Newtown Creek, North River, Red Hook, Oakwood Beach, and Port Richmond

  • Regional Group East: 26th Ward, Coney Island, Jamaica, Owls Head, and Rockway

Some of the upgrade tasks CSM is involved in include: disconnection and installation of a new CCTV (closed circuit television) system, replacement of mechanical equipment i.e. pumps, motors, and piping, electrical conduit replacement for the existing gas holding tanks and pump room, and HVAC replacement.
