Carolyn Shah Moehringer, PE
President

As founder and President of CSM, Carolyn Shah Moehringer develops strategies to ensure the long-term financial viability of the firm. She promotes an environment that reflects the company’s values, encourages good performance, and rewards productivity. Carolyn monitors personnel policies and procedures that conform to current laws and regulations, and evaluates in-place systems and procedures. Prior to forming CSM, she served in various management capacities at Shah Associates and managed many design projects for governmental agencies and local municipalities. Her dedication and enthusiasm for the engineering profession has served as an inspiration for her employees and is reflected through CSM’s employee retention and loyalty.
Carolyn was recognized in the engineering industry as a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award and Young Engineer of the Year Award from the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE), New York State Chapter. She has been an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of New York as Vice President and MTA-Committee Member. Carolyn served as the ACEC chapter’s Treasurer from 1999-2000 and Secretary from 2001-2002. Carolyn is also a board member of the NYSSPE, ACEC, Society of Women Engineers, American Society of Military Engineers, and the Engineers Joint Committee of Long Island.
A graduate of Polytechnic Institute of New York University, Carolyn holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Science Management. She is a New York State-licensed Professional Engineer.
